WINDHAM, NY —After a fair bit of speculation following the much-anticipated announcement that it would open a bike park to the public in 2015, Windham Mountain Resortrecently unveiled more updates and an official trail map as well as a 2015 opening day and ticket prices.

Famed Whistler trailbuilder Gravity Logic, Inc. is in the process of building and designing an all new lift served bike park on the hallowed World Cup ground of Windham, NY.

The park will open to the public on July 3, 2015 for the 4th of July weekend.

"It will feature two flow trails plus our World Cup Trails," Randy Holden, Windham Mountain Resort communications manager told MTBparks.

The World Cup tracks, World Cup Downhill and Citizens Downhill—which previously sat unridden the majority of the year save for UCI World Cup and Eastern States Cup race weekends—will be accesible to the public, and likely the highlight for most gravity riders in the region.

Batavia Skill and Wilderness Roll are two flow trails that will wind in longer, less-direct routes off either side of the mountain, at least one of which is rumored to be a jump trail.

All trails will roll off Windham's 3,050-foot West Peak for approximately 1,600 vertical feet of descent. No word yet on the full scope of the Gravity Logic, Inc. plan or if and when it might be completed in full.

According to the map, in addition to the four downhill runs, a pump track and skills park area will both be built in close proximity to the lodge.

The 5th UCI Mountain Bike World Cup will return August 6 through 9, 2015.
