According to Argentine news outlet ANBariloche, the ski areas employees are demanding a 30% increase in wages, and have blocked entrance to the chairlift both yesterday and today.

Local ski instructors and business owners, who operate independent of the ski resort, confronted the striking lifties today at the main six-pack lift, which quickly escalated into a fistfight that local police had to break up. Maybe Vail Resorts should step in?
Either way, with a big storm barreling down on the Andes right now, the timing couldn't be worse for skiers and riders.
