The annual Perseid Meteor shower has returned and its peak is set for tonight (August 11) and tomorrow night (August 12), with the possibility of catching over 60 shooting stars an hour during its peak. The Perseids originate from the Swift-Tuttle comet, whose 130-year orbit has left a cloud of debris that the Earth travels through each summer.
