My mid-life crisis started about 8 years ago. I decided to get back into snowboarding, really challenge myself and go to someplace different. I ended up in Japan with JP Martin as my guide. One day he took us on this hike in the mountains of Hakuba in a blizzard! Since then I've been to Argentina twice, Chile three times and Japan six times, including the earthquake of 2011!
Sometimes when I'm on a long flight I ask myself "what the hell are you thinking?" But that feeling goes away the second I see the mountains. Some of my best memories are when I'm hiking with my friends and people I just met on the trip. It's hard to explain to most people but it's a very bonding experience.
